About Us

The Journey to Women Rise Center

I have been a Prince George’s County resident since 2012. I am a mother, educator, licensed realtor, and the parent of an adult child living with bipolar disorder. Navigating the challenges of securing comprehensive, coordinated services for her illuminated significant gaps in housing stability and access to support for women facing similar circumstances.

In response, I founded the Women Rise Center in January 2024 to help address these unmet needs by creating pathways to stability, dignity, and opportunity for women seeking to thrive during periods of transition. My professional background spans education, real estate, and community advocacy, and my work is informed by years of service to families navigating complex systems.

Through prior graduate-level engagement in real estate studies at Georgetown University and currently Johns Hopkins University’s Master of Science in Real Estate Program and civic leadership initiatives, I have participated in policy-focused and cost-of-living conversations related to housing, sustainability, and affordability. These experiences continue to inform my commitment to developing thoughtful, responsible models that bridge housing access, community support, and long-term well-being.
